Score Media and Gaming, the parent firm of online operator theScore Bet, declared it has been given a permit by the Colorado Department of Gaming to provide its online sports wagering services to clients in the state.
The firm will begin operations through a market access agreement inked with casino operator Jacobs Entertainment in January.
“We are eager to launch theScore Bet in Colorado later this month and display our exceptional betting product to the enthusiastic sports fans there,” stated John Levy, founder and CEO of theScore. “This regulatory approval is another significant step in theScore Bet’s multi-state expansion as we bring our unique integrated media and betting experience to audiences across the nation.”
The firm observed revenue decrease 71.8% year-on-year in the three months ending May 31 due to “unprecedented difficulties.” Revenue in this period was entirely from media operations as the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic caused a suspension of professional sports events in the United States and worldwide.
Colorados sports wagering witnessed a significant surge in June! Individuals placed bets 48.8% higher than in May, generating a total income of $2.2 million.
