Sportradar Integrity Services has teamed up with the Swiss Handball Federation (SHV) to monitor suspicious wagering in handball contests. This is a long-term agreement.
Sportradar will utilize its specialized system, the Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS), to observe betting trends in the Quickline Handball League, the Mobiliar Handball Cup, and other men’s and women’s handball matches, even for junior athletes.
The UFDS aids in preventing match-fixing by detecting unusual betting patterns. If anything appears suspicious, Sportradar alerts its collaborators.
Andreas Krannich, head of Sportradar Integrity Services, stated, “We have witnessed an increase in threats to the fairness of sports, particularly due to global events. Handball betting is gaining popularity, so we are delighted to collaborate with the SHV.”
He further remarked, “At Sportradar, we are committed to assisting our partners in maintaining fairness. We are thrilled to work with the SHV to ensure the integrity of Swiss handball in the years ahead.”
This agreement follows a similar one between Sportradar Integrity Services and the International Handball Federation.
Were doing everything in our power to ensure the safety of our competitions,” stated Jürgen Krucker, the leader of the Swiss Handball Association. “We recognize the crucial importance of betting monitoring for contests at all levels.
“Sportradar Integrity Services has an outstanding reputation for upholding the integrity of sports, and by collaborating with them and utilizing their UFDS system to observe our games, we’ll gain a significantly enhanced comprehension of betting activity related to our matches on a global scale.”
