DraftKings has been designated as the official sports wagering partner for the impending boxing match between former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and former four-division world champion Roy Jones Jr.
DraftKings’ branding will be displayed during the fight’s media day, weigh-in, and on the boxing ring.
As part of the collaboration, the operator will also create an original series titled “DraftKings Bet Stories” to capture sports betting trends, such as betting percentages and volume, significant bet placements, and unique market offerings.
The bout will take place on November 28th, marking Tyson’s return to the ring since his retirement in 2005. US media reports indicate that the fight has already broken pre-fight pay-per-view sign-up records.
“The audience for this fight will be at the heart of a top-notch, customer-focused event that pits two generations of dominant boxing talent against each other, while also incorporating DraftKings branding and exclusive sports betting data for a seamless second-screen experience,” said Ezra Kucharz, Chief Business Officer at DraftKings.
“Sports betting technology has progressed exponentially since either Mike Tyson or Roy Jones Jr. were crowned world champions, so to see these legends clash in this innovative era of our industry is something special.”
