The operators will publish four essential statistics every six months: the proportion of active clients who were contacted due to indications of problematic gambling, the efficacy of these interventions in lowering gambling behavior, the degree to which gambling activity decreased for those who were contacted, and the percentage of customers who opted to self-exclude from the platform.
This collaboration arises at a time when public confidence in the gaming sector is dwindling, despite the fact that over half of Swedish adults engage in gambling. The participating operators believe that by being transparent about the prevalence of problem gambling and the effectiveness of their responsible gambling resources, they can help to enhance the industry’s reputation and safeguard at-risk players.
Kindred Group CEO Henrik Tjärnström stressed the significance of responsibility and transparency in tackling problem gambling. He claimed that by publicly disclosing these important indicators, the operators can make it simpler for stakeholders to monitor progress and comprehend the impact of their efforts to combat detrimental gambling.
