The Lottery Corporation of British Columbia (BCLC) is making a significant stride towards inclusivity by empowering its staff to exchange six statutory holidays for dates that hold individual meaning.
This program, introduced during B.C.’s Multicultural Week, seeks to recognize the varied cultural and religious practices of its employees. Rather than adhering to a uniform approach to holidays, workers now possess the adaptability to commemorate days that align with their own faiths and heritages.
While a majority of holidays are open for selection, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th persists as a compulsory observance for all BCLC personnel.
This is not the initial instance where BCLC has been acknowledged for its dedication to cultivating an inclusive workplace. They were designated a five-star Diversity and Inclusion Employer in 2022 and have garnered commendation for their continuous endeavors to nurture a feeling of acceptance for all.
The British Columbia Lottery Corporation has been expanding the availability of its gaming options. One example is their partnership with Instant Win Gaming, bringing the well-liked Set for Life to their digital platform, PlayNow.com. This collaboration allows players in British Columbia and Manitoba to participate in this game through both online and physical retail channels.
